These past few days have been full.
I've received so much support from so many across the country. I'm very thankful. Your Facebook friend requests (as Josh Kezer), emails (joshkezer@gmail.com), blog following, phone calls have been so overwhelming. The stories you've shared. The kindnesses so many have shown. The things our Lord's doing in our lives are beyond beyond. So much and yet...
I'm excited. I really believe some special and amazing things are gonna happen. They already have. Why not believe they will continue?
With everything I've been through, I've learned to not put boundaries on Jesus. The Lord has proven Himself able. In the Bible, we see Him spread the red sea, tame the lions, stop the sun and moon, heal the leper and the lame and conquer death in His own resurrection. In my life, I've seen Him heal men of cancer, H.I.V., the common cold and broken hearts. I've witnessed changed lives. He walked me out of prison and set me on a path beyond anything I could have thought or can still wrap my head around.
This past week has been full. I'm thankful for it all, but... I'm expecting more. He's shown me that His goodness is never ending. That mixed with another 40 to 60 years of living is gonna make for an overflowing life. Who am I kidding? My life already overflows!
So many may tried to ruin what God had in store for me, but God... People often try to get in the way, but God...
Psalm 23
1The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
And it leaves me wondering why some, and not others.
ReplyDeleteWhy now, and not later?
Why children?
Why, why, why.....
And the only thing I find in these questions are more questions. The answer, elusive.
