Something to ponder

Throwing our hearts out in the open for the ones we love, making ourselves vulnerable for others is risky and often filled with hurt and pain, but I've been on the other side of the wall, wherein my heart was literally imprisoned and numb. I choose the hurt and pain. These past months have been filled with so much pain, but to feel is better than to not. I realize we shouldn't live by our feelings, but to feel is a blessing, a blessing to faithfully embrace.

  1. We must sometime risk the pain in order to experience the glory. Jesus did, Stephen did, Paul did. God made us a feeling species (experiencing love, hate, anger, discouragement, pain, etc). Too many try to mask the pain or deny its existence. Recognition comes before release.

  2. Romans 5:3-5
3 Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.

  4. And let us not grow weary while in doing good, for in due season you shall reap if you do not lose heart. Galatians 6:9.

These words have carried me through some of the hardest times in my life. I just want to share them with you.
