Something I wrote to a new friend (Jasmine) and wanted to send to you as well, to every one of you reading my blog.

Jesus is alive. It does help to see His hand in things. I hope you know that you are a miracle as well. His hand is on you. The fact that you're living and breathing is a miracle. And I believe His heart desires great things for you. He loves you with an enduring love and is excited about His plans for you. Jesus Christ died for your sins and redeemed you. He made His salvation free to you. He's Lord and eternally in control. And He has designs for you.

Believe that. No matter what, believe that you are valuable and special in His sight.

Blessings in Christ, Josh

  2. Have you seen The Passion of The Christ, Josh? I'm just curious. I make a point of watching it every Easter. Every time I see it I end up as a big sobbing heap. To see what he went thru for us....it's humbling. It will (sometimes literally and always figuratively) bring you to your knees - where we belong. I'll send you a copy of it, if you'd like. It would be my pleasure. It will really affect you, I think.

    With admiration,
    Jennifer

  3. I own a copy. Thank you for offering though. I agree. It's a powerful film. I'm thankful that it was made and recommend everyone view it at least once.

    Josh,

I pray that you truly realize how much you literally touch many many lives. It is clear that you stay humble, because you are a wonderful man. In addition to the fact that you inspire me so very much, it touches me even more because it also comes from one abused child to another, so the level in which you inspire me goes quite deep, because you have been there, understand and remember what it was like to grow up in that situation. Thank you!!

  5. Thank you for your blog, Josh. It keeps everything in perspective for me, everyday. It's hard being a single mom but because of your love for Jesus and blogging about it, keeps me pushing on daily. The LORD bless you and keep you, Josh; the LORD make his face to shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace. Blessings and Love in Christ,
    ~Mary Coram

  6. Mr. Kezer...I apologize for putting this comment here, I'm not sure it's the appropriate place for it, but I'm new to this blogging thing and I dont know how to start a new thread. Anywho...Since I heard about your story, I've been looking into stories people who are locked up under questionable circumstances. Of course your name is mentioned in a few of the stories as an example of an outcome that many hope for. This whole thing leaves me really heartsick. (By the way, I read about your generosity to the family of Richard Clay. I just dont know what to say about that...you keep amazing me.) Is the fact that he isnt going to be executed today any better than his new sentence? The idea of no chance for parole is, in a sense, a death of some sort too, is it not? I have so many questions and so few answers. I lived comfortably for a long time in ignorance that things like this could happen..in THIS country...TODAY. It seemed like something that would happen in a third world country. But now I cant stand firm on that idea anymore. I've been educated. It CAN happen. HERE. NOW. What do I do with my new information?? I cant KNOW that this is happening and not get involved, right? I want to help in some way. I just have no idea where to begin. There are mountains of stuff to read about the cases and I'm not sure I fully trust my own judgement on someone's innocence. I'm frustrated and motivated, but completely lacking in direction or knowhow. I'm so sorry for rambling...I know it all came out like a stream of consciousness, but thats pretty much how I feel in my head about all of it. Ugh...I think I'm getting a headache...

  7. Dear Josh,

I just watched your story on 48 hours, online ... I wanted to reach out to you, and to tell you how brave and blessed you are.

I have never heard such a fantastic story, both with terrible lows and the greatest of highs ... your sweet love for Jesus, and your incredible faith in good.

I commend your spirit and your attitude as you are a miracle beyond all explanation.

Bless you and those that helped you win freedom. We that know the Lord are always free, even behind bars, and you proved that no one could take your faith, your light ...

I'm completely in awe. Thank you for sharing your life with those of us that have never known trials as you have ... it puts things into perspective.

I have every confidence that God is using you every single day.

    Bless your heart !

  8. I keep coming back to this post everyday and re-reading it....sometimes more than once a day. I feel like I need it. It's like taking medicine...medicine I need to fix the ache in my heart. It makes me get tears in my eyes every time I read it. But, that doesnt surprise me - I can cry easily sometimes. If I see sunlight coming thru the window in just the right way, it can choke me up. When will I ever be able to turn my tears for God into joy?? I see people sing and smile and dance at church. I just sit there and dab at tears - what is that all about? And why is posting on your site so cathardic for me? It's cleansing somehow. Oh well.... thank you Joshua, for this post. It really affects me. I'm anxious to get your gift in the mail. And your birthday is coming up! And your anniversary! How fun! Big things coming up for you. I wonder what your plans are for you big days....? Care to share?
Hope this find you well and happy.
    Plentiful Blessings!

  9. I mailed your package to you today. They said it should arrive on Wednesday. If it's not there by Thursday, please let me know. I figured I'd give them an extra day before I'd look into it. You've been pretty quiet for a few days - I hope you are well and just busy doing something fun!
    Blessings,
    Jen

  10. Thank you, Jennifer. I may not be able to pick it up Wednesday or Thursday, as my mailing address isn't accessable at this point. I'll let you know about the package when I'm able to. No worries though. It should arrive fine.

  12. HA! Great news! After I left you that last message I immediately went right back to the shipping place where I mailed it....they still had the original package! They opened it, put the other stuff in and resealed it! Listen to this, if I sent it seperately the 2nd pkg was going to be 13.00 to ship...by putting it in with the other, it was only .52 !! God is good!
